How do I know if I am Eligible for Free Equipment?

You will need to complete the eligibility assessment to confirm whether or not you are eligible for the grants for your farmers market or farm. Once approved, you will be issued a MarketLink approval number that you can then proceed with the next steps for whichever grant(s) you choose.

2.
What is MarketLink?

MarketLink is a program of the National Association of Farmers Market Nutrition Programs (NAFMNP) to increase the acceptance of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) at farmers markets nationwide, which has received funding through a USDA cooperative agreement to provide technical assistance to farmers and markets as well as develop new technology to support electronic payments for federal benefits.

3.
How is MarketLink different from the USDA program offered through states?

MarketLink is different because USDA awarded a contract to the NAFMNP based on the best value for the agency as well as for direct-marketing farmers and farmers markets to provide a complete solution - a farmer or market may process SNAP, credit, and debit through our equipment. State funding is intended for SNAP only.

Equipment options through the MarketLink program are available to any farmers market and direct marketing farmer across the country, whether they are eligible for free equipment or not. If you are not eligible you may purchase the equipment through Novo Dia Group.

4.
What if I am not Eligible for FREE equipment?

You can still purchase MarketLink equipment.

You can purchase equipment (card reader) and a subscription to the TotilPay Go application to accept SNAP, credit & debit through Novo Dia Group here.
